Visiting notes

Most monuments charge separate tickets for Indian and foreign visitors, with cheaper online booking. Many close one day a week, commonly Monday or Friday depending on the site. Drones need permission, tripods often need a fee, and touching carved surfaces is what wears them away fastest.

Two or three sites done slowly beat eight rushed. The carvings reward the time.
